Project Close is designed to understand a variety of relationship phenomena. While the objective of each specific study varies, the overarching goal of Project Close is to understand how relationships work and what keeps a realtionship functioning over time. While most of the research conducted through Project Close focuses on romantic relationships, we are interested in understanding the dynamics of other relationships (e.g., friendships) as well. The goal of this website is to provide a centralized location for information about our project and the studies we currently have underway. You can find a list of current and past studies under the "Studies" tab on the top of the page. If you are interested in learning more about relationships research or other similar topics, please visit the "Helpful Info" tab. Project Close is headed by Lisa Jaremka, a graduate student at UCSB in the Close Relationships Lab. Lisa is joined on these projects by her advisor, Nancy Collins. There are also a number of invaluable undergraduate research assistants who help conduct each study. The number of research assistants varies from quarter to quarter, but typically ranges from 5-10 assistants each quarter. If you are interested in joining the lab as a research assistant, please email projectclose@gmail.com. If you have any questions about Project Close or a study you are currently participating in, please email projectclose@gmail.com |
